Registration is full for this event. To get on the waiting list please email Sari Albornoz at sari(AT)sustainablefoodcenter(DOT)org. Otherwise, our next training will occur in the fall.
A community garden is a place for food, friends, flowers and community. Find out how to contribute to the economic, social, and environmental vitality of your neighborhood by starting a community garden.
In this workshop, we will cover: community organizing, how to secure land, garden organization structures, and fundraising & community outreach. We will also speak with leaders of the in-process Gus Garcia Recreation Center Community Garden led by one of the community garden coordinators. There is a high interest in community gardening in Austin, and very limited spaces available at the current community gardens. Come learn about how we can work together to start more gardens
**Interpretation and childcare provided upon request, please contact Grow Local.**
