Farm to Plate is the only fundraising event in Central Texas exclusively showcasing the fresh, local food directly sourced from member farms of the Austin Farmers' Market. Enjoy tastings by eight Texas wineries and sixteen of Central Texas' most outstanding chefs. Sip and stroll as you enjoy music by Sara Hickman and an appearance by celebrity chef Charlie Ayers, "the chef who fed Google". Chef Ayers will be signing copies of his new book, Food 2.0.

Proceeds of the Farm to Plate event will benefit the Austin Farmers’ Market and Sustainable Food Center.

Participating chefs include: Jack Gilmore, Z'Tejas; Rebecca Rather, Rather Sweet Bakery and Rebecca's Table in Fredericksburg; Robert Rhoades, Hudson's on the Bend; Todd Duplechan, Trio at the Four Seasons; Eric Lucas, Fino; John Bates, Asti Trattoria, Mark Chapman, The Cookie Lounge; Quincy Adams-Erickson, Fete Accompli; Mark Spedale, Primizie Osteria; Joel Welch, Kerbey Lane; Terry Conlan, Lake Austin Spa Resort; Jam Sanitchat, Thai Cooking with Jam; Jesse Griffiths, Dai Due; Melanie McAfee, Barr Mansion and famed cake creator Jennifer Bartos of All in One Bakeshop.

Rain or shine, Farm to Plate will be held under one large tent at Triangle Park adjacent to the Wednesday Austin Farmers' Market.  Silent auction items include a recovered-wood handcrafted table for 8 from Hill Country Woodworks, a complete table setting for 8 including plates, bowls, water glasses from Sunset Canyon Pottery, centerpiece by Gardens and other surprises from Zanzibar.  Table linens are being donated by a market fabric artisan.
