SFC's Farm Direct program promotes access to fresh, healthy food by making locally-grown produce available in the heart of the city and in locations easily accessible by low-income residents.

Farm to Work is an employee wellness and Farm Direct marketing program that delivers farm-fresh, locally grown produce right to employees at partner worksites. The program provides farmers with a reliable and economically viable marketing outlet. Farm to Work offers employees increased access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and addresses some key barriers many employees face when trying to add more fruits and vegetables to their diets. This program was developed by Sustainable Food Center in partnership with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Food or farm organizations working with local family farmers may find more information about establishing their own Farm to Work programs by contacting Cecil Winzer.

If you are interested in implementing Farm to Work at your worksite, start by reading more about the program at www.farmtowork.org.
