Dr. Darren Geyer
was born in El Paso,TX and grew up in a military family. He was raised
mostly in Richardson, Texas. His extended family are all from
Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Geyer enjoys hiking, camping, music, cooking, and Italian culture.
He is married to Tracy and has 3 children. He has special interest in
diabetes care and sports medicine.
Nikhil Kumar
is currently Vice President of Technology Delivery at Blackbaud,
focused on driving solutions for nonprofits. He’s spent the last several
years working across a wide variety of industries from Retail and
Financial Services to Transportation and Telecommunications always with
a passion for driving business value through the application of
technology solutions. Prior to Blackbaud, Nikhil led global Technical
Services at Bazaarvoice, responsible for all client implementations and
product support. Prior to this, he was with National Instruments heading
ni.com, data warehouse, and architecture teams. Earlier in his career,
Nikhil spent many years in the consulting and IT space with an
occasional start-up in the mix to spice things up.
Outside of work, Nikhil’s time is focused on his family, which is
primarily consumed by his two daughters, Priya and Reena. Any remaining
time is spent immersed in Austin’s music scene, taking advantage of area
trails, traveling when possible, and supporting the local food
ecosystem.
Kelley Burrus is an independent corporate event planner specializing in conferences and incentive programs.
As a farmers' market groupie, she looks forward to lending her support
to ensure the mission of the SFC movement continues for decades.
Kareem T. Hajjar
is a member of Hajjar Sutherland Peters & Washmon LLP’s
transactional group and whose work thus far includes representation of
clients in complex real estate transactions, drafting purchase and sale
agreements for raw land and income-producing properties, negotiating and
drafting commercial lease agreements and escrow agreements, drafting
restrictive covenants, condominium associations and other development
documents, drafting commercial loan packages, the planning and formation
of business entities, including corporations, special purpose entities,
partnerships and limited liability companies, and the planning and
drafting of securities offerings for real estate developments, oil and
gas ventures, and bar and restaurant concepts.
Mr. Hajjar’s bar and restaurant law practice includes the representation
of over 300 bars and restaurants located primarily throughout Texas and
includes the formation of corporate entities, real estate acquisition
and leasing, zoning and other land use and municipal issues, trademark
acquisitions, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission permit acquisition,
employment agreements, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations to
private offerings of debt and equity securities, venture capital
transactions and contract negotiations.
